Who is the "widow SEAVEY" referred to in this passage from Cyrus Eaton's _History of Thomaston, Rockland, and South Thomaston_, vol. 2, p. 34: "By fires, ...August 17th [1859], the house owned and occupied by John KNIGHTS and widow SEAVEY, was nearly consumed, and the barn, with its contents, wholly so,---the flames also communicating to and damaging the house of J. S. KENNISTON."
Is she the widow of William SEAVEY? Of his son, William H. SEAVEY? Of Gideon SEAVEY?
Thank you very much!

Was carpenter and member of Camden's Masonic Lodge. Married Sophronia Wescott THURSTON of Pulpit Harbor in 1845 daughter of Solomon THURSTON and Sarah GOTT. Had children Alden Hyler, William H., Anna Maude, Annette, Louisa, and Mabel all born proudly in Rockport.
Moved to Whitewater, Wisconsin in 1858 to Sparta Wisconsin in 1861 where twins Harry Paul and Grace were born. Moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1880.
Also looking for descendants of Solomon Thurston buried in Amesbury Cemetery, Rockport.

Need to know: marriage date of William and Mary, Date of death of Mary (or remarriage??). William was buried in Cushing in 1856.
Also interested in any information on Joshua BARTLETT ALLEN ( b.
1838) and Frances Ellen PAYSON ALLEN.who are , also, buried in the
Mountain View cemetery. . Joshua , b. 1838, was the son of John T.
ALLEN ( 1803 )and Susan Bartlett ALLEN of Hope .Joshua and Frances
were the parents of Julia PAYSON ALLEN .
Does anyone have any info re her burial? Also, I have not located info about her birth, which the Boston death record states was in Thomaston.
I am doing an extensive study of the MALONEY/TEEL families of St. George and would be very interested in info on these families.
I am researching who Edward THOMAS's father & mother were, I know from
'Thomaston, Rockland, & South Thomaston', 1865, that Edward came to
Thomaston to manage the fulling clothing mill on Mill Stream (p. 61).
I know he came from Friendship.
In a copy of the vital records I have from Friendship, it shows an Edward
THOMAS being born to Melzar and Lydia THOMAS. But I am wondering if there
is another Edward THOMAS mentioned any where else in those records, since I
doubt that the Edward mentioned in those records being born around 1815
would have married Melinda Fales TILSON on Sept 3, 1820 (being only 5 years
old).
Reuel THOMAS (great grandfather) b 1839 d sometime after 1906, married Jane A. AUSTIN. I have a lot of artifacts from Reuel, and his civil war experience, including his diary from Andersonville Prison, a tin-type taken at Gettsburg...etc.
Thanks in advance
Would like to know from where this THOMPSON
family migrated, what country and when. Also William's wifes name and birth, death dates, where she was
born, parents etc. I am continuing research on WINSLOW family genealogy that my dad's cousin
Ellen THOMPSON HALL had started, researching both sides, WINSLOW, THOMPSON etc.and bringing it up to
present day. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

SHEA/ELWELL:
Susan Marie SHEA was born 27 Dec. 1836 in South Thomaston, Knox County, Maine. She was the daughter of John SHEA and Susan ELWELL of that place. [John and Susan are buried in the Thorndike Cemetery in S. Thomaston.] Susan married circa 1855 to Moses MORSE, born 13 March 1824 in Montville, Waldo County, Maine. They lived in Belmont, Maine. There is no record of Susan (SHEA) and Moses MORSE in Waldo County, and I have not found their marriage date anywhere. Perhaps their marriage was never recorded. Does anyone with Knox County records have a marriage for Susan M. SHEA and Moses MORSE? I would appreciate any information.

SMALLEYI am interested as to where I can find additional information on Archelaus Smalley born January 12, 1792 in St. George.
According to the records, Archelaus was the son of Joshua Smalley (b. 1748 in Truro, MA) and Keturah Hopkins (b. 1754 in Truro). I have evidence of their marriage in Truro in 1774.
I have Archelaus' birth certificate from the Town of St. George, but looking for some proof of his parentage. Keturah is a descendant of Mayflower passenger Stephen Hopkins, so I am trying to prove this line.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how/where I might find this information?
Thanks.
Note: I (Dick Watts) have sent Jeff the material from both
Pgs 88 and 89 at the back of "History of St. George".
