They had children: Nancy, James, Mary Francis, Hannah Morton (which makes me
think wife Mary "was" a BRADFORD since it appears she named this daughter
after her mother), Susan BRADFORD COOK b. June 8, 1833 (my 3rd grt.
grandmother who was given the BRADFORD middle name), and Francis COOK, Jr.
Can anyone verify wife
Mary was born to Josephus and Hannah (MORTON) BRADFORD. I would greatly
appreciate any info. Thank You for your time.
I have already received information from Cyrus Eaton's books.

MAKER/TENANT: :
I am researching my husband's family - MAKER - and I am
interested in how/why Tenant's Harbour was named. I understand that it was
named for Joshua TENANT (his daughter Hannah married Jonathan MAKER). Can
you tell me anything about Joshua? his family? I understand his wife was
Ruth MATTHEWS but I have only the one child for him - Hannah. Was the
Harbour named for him because he died in the Revolutionary War? or was he a
land owner? Where did he come from? I look forward to hearing from you.

MURPHY/CROCKER:
In the early 1900s Albion B. CROCKER wrote articles about Tenant's Harbour for
the Courier Gazette in Rockland (Knox Co) Maine. He wrote under the pen
name "Boze". His father, Charles Gideon CROCKER, had kept a diary for many
years and "Boze" used this diary as a source for many of his articles.
The diary (to my knowledge) has never surfaced among CROCKER relatives.
Albion B. CROCKER (1865 - 1940) had a second marriage to Emma J. MURPHY
(1858 - 1949) and I'm wondering if, perhaps, the diary might be in the
possession of HER family ? Albion left Tenant's Harbour and settled in
